Help, hope, and healing for survivors of domestic violence or sexual assault.  Serving over 2,500 survivors every year.  All services are free, confidential, and available in any language:

  • 24/7 hotline for support, shelter, information, emergency response to the hospital or police stations, or just to talk: (866) 401-2425

  • Safe emergency shelter, transportation, food, phones, and pet foster care

  • Counseling and support groups for adults and children

  • Help with court support, housing, medical care, jobs, education, benefits, and more

  • Special services for refugees and immigrants, the LGBTQ community, and those who are homeless

  • Youth violence prevention and training for professionals

Noon time meals are served each Monday-Friday doors are  open for lunch from  11:30-1:30.

Volunteer hours: Each Monday-Friday between 9-2. Volunteer information and packets can be found on the website.

The Berkshire Food Project open its doors in 1987 and has been providing over 34,000 meals annually.  Based out of the dining hall of the First Congregational Church 134 Main St. North Adams MA the Berkshire Food Project provides free noon time meals, emergency food and online SNAP assistance.   Besides the Director and Kitchen Manager, the agency is sustained by community volunteers and students who share in the daily preparation and serving of each meal. Community members are encouraged to attend and share a meal with those who maybe food insecure, and needing companionship.
